900 TPD Oxygen Plant Construction

Venshore Mechanical was contracted to construct a new 900 ton per day oxygen plant at the Praxair facility in Sault Ste Marie Ontario. The contract involved the installation of new high pressure compressors, coolers and all associated piping. Venshore crews worked along side plant operations to complete tie ins to the existing plant and continue pipe lines to the new Cold Box and Compressors.

120MW Co-Generation Plant Construction

Sault Ste Marie, Ontario

Venshore Mechanical Ltd was contracted on a fix fee basis to complete the fabrication and installation of the mechanical portion for the new 120 megawatt Co-Gen plant at Essar Steel in Sault Ste Marie. VML supplied in Mechanical Supervision, Trades and Equipment to complete the construction in spring of 2008 with our extensive knowledge of Chrome alloy piping. All of the 2-1/2″ wall, P-22 and P-11 piping was fabricated in our facility in Thunder Bay including NDE and PWHT. All piping was then installed on site, VML supplied all QC Management to aid the client in a seamless link between TSSA and the project. Utilizing Induction pre-heat and post weld heat treatment technology aided our welders in a 0% repair rate.

Landfill Gas Co-Generation Plant Construction
City of Thunder Bay
Thunder Bay, Ontario

Venshore Mechanical Ltd. was awarded the contract as the General Contractor to construct a 9.5 million dollar Gas Utilization Plant at the City of Thunder Bay landfill. The project completed in spring of 2010 will supply 6MW of electricity through the capture of methane gas from the landfill.

Venshore Mechanical Constructed the new 12,000 sq ft generator building includes gas treatment, control and electrical sub rooms, 2 V20 Caterpillar Gensets, including interconnecting fuel gas piping and waste heat piping. Electrical sub and control installation was performed by White Pine Electric.

Bulk Fuel Storage and Dispensing Construction
Can-Op Fuels
Thunder Bay, Ontario

Venshore Mechanical Ltd. was contracted on a lump sum and time and material to construct a new bulk storage facility for Can-Op fuels in Thunder Bay. The project consisted of a complete re-design of an abandon Dow Chemical plant construction began in late fall of 2008 and involved the installation of the following:

• 2 - new 500,000 litre diesel storage tanks.
• 1 - 500,000 litre Gasoline storage tank.
• Install all piping, pumps, meters and controls to unload rail cars.
• Fabricate and install truck loading rack.
• Install BIO Fuel storage tanks and piping.
• Installation of dye system.
